A North Eighth Avenue resident reported someone left a garbage-filled shopping cart and a television on his property at 11:05 a.m. March 8.
Wal-Mart store security employees reported a shoplifting attempt at the North Main Street store at 9:14 p.m. March 2 after a female customer attempted to leave the store without paying for six packages of curl clips, bobby pins, hair elastics, a hair cap, a mesh men’s sports cap and a set of hair clippers, valued at $45.99.
According to the store’s security personnel, the suspect threw the bag of items at a store associate, displayed a knife and left the area. The incident is under investigation, police said.
At 9:12 p.m. March 3, an Adesa Auto Auctions Security employee reported the theft of a gray 2007 Audi A4, valued at $19,600, a black 2007 Dodge Ram truck, valued at $18,950, and a silver 2006 Chevy Impala, valued at $8,000. Adesa Security believed the thefts occurred sometime between Jan. 30 and March 3. The three vehicles were entered in the National Crime Information Center database.
Adesa employees reported finding the Audi A4 in the Adesa lot March 5.
At 6 p.m. March 5, a South Street resident reported someone charged $615.20 to his credit card through a single online purchase. The card has since been cancelled, the resident said. An investigation into the theft is ongoing.
A Lebanon, N.J., resident reported the theft of several items from his vehicle while parked at the Adesa Auto Auctions lot, on North Main Street, March 5. The resident reported the theft at 10:51 a.m. and said the items included a black briefcase, a business checkbook, 31 vehicle re-assignment books, 20 keys, four temporary vehicle registrations and 20 auto titles. The items are valued at $518 total, and an investigation is ongoing.
A Huff Avenue resident reported someone shot paintballs at her vehicle at 8 p.m. March 6 while the vehicle was parked outside her residence. The resident found the damage after hearing a loud noise outside, she said. The damage was valued at $100, and the resident agreed to take the vehicle to a car wash since the paint was still wet.
A second Huff Avenue resident reported someone shot paintballs at her house at 8 p.m. March 5, but did not report any damage to the house.
At 11:45 p.m. March 6, a Boesel Avenue resident reported paintball damage to a house on the street. Patrols reported finding five paintball hits on the residence, which the owner agreed to wash off. No further damages were reported.
Alex Saladana, no age given, of Green Street, was charged with public urination after he allegedly committed the act in the Quick Chek store March 7. Police reported receiving a call from the store management at 2:46 a.m. regarding an intoxicated male at the store. Mr. Saladana was released to a friend after processing.
At 6:32 a.m. March 8, a West Camplain Road resident reported someone destroyed flower pots and other decorative items that were at her house, valued at $15.
