New Jersey Builders Association Announces Annual Industry Awards Winners

Awards to Be Presented April 23rd in Atlantic City during Atlantic Builders Convention

Robbinsville, NJ– The New Jersey Builders Association is pleased to announce its annual Industry Award winners. These awards honor professionals who have made outstanding contributions to housing and/or the home building industry in New Jersey.
“Meeting the housing needs of New Jersey’s residents requires the hard work and dedication of professionals in numerous fields,” offered Timothy J. Touhey, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of the New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA).
“Particularly within a troubled economy, these pillars of industry have demonstrated great leadership and vision,” said Stephen Patron, NJBA President. Patron continued, “They represent the economic engine that, given the opportunity, will help lead our State out of its current economic crisis.”
The awards will be presented at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the Atlantic City Convention Center during the NJBA Annual Industry Awards Luncheon featuring radio talk-show host and inspirational speaker, Bryan Dodge.
The winners of the New Jersey Builders Association’s 2009 Industry Awards are:
Builder of the Year Award: Barbara Chiusano of C & C Development Co. LLC (Marlton, NJ)
Associate of the Year Award: Jeanne Tomlinson of Sears Commercial (Allentown, NJ)
Remodeler of the Year Award: Steve Van Der Stad of Len Van Builders (Wayne, NJ)
Builder Hall of Fame: Mary B. Anderson of Homes by Mary B. Anderson (Linwood, NJ); Thomas F. Critelli of Danitom Development (Holmdel, NJ); and Michael Karmatz of Orleans Homes, Inc. (Mt. Laurel, NJ)
Associate Hall of Fame: Mark MaGrann of MaGrann Associates (Moorestown, NJ); Jim McClure of All Points Printing & Graphics (Point Pleasant, NJ); and Glenn Townsend of Mr. John Temporary Restrooms (Keasbey, NJ)
Remodeler Hall of Fame: Donald Dobres of Fine Home Construction (Westwood, NJ)
Builder Continuing Service Award: John Barba of K Hovnanian Homes (Edison, NJ); and Michael Solondz of Sunrise Communities (East Brunswick, NJ)
Associate Continuing Service Award: Anthony D. Bevilacqua of Anthony & Company (Flemington, NJ)
Silver Hammer Award: Winfield Ziegenfuss, Jr. of Daniel Gregory Incorporated (Mullica Hill, NJ); and Arnold DeMasi of DeMasi Construction (Little Ferry, NJ)
Preservation of the American Dream Award: Charles Kojeski of Kojeski Construction (Voorhees, NJ)
Affordable Housing Award: Joseph Doria, Commissioner of the NJ Department of Community Affairs
Distinguished Service Award for Outstanding Political Action: Kelly Zuccarelli of American Advantage Mortgage Company (Lanoka Harbor, NJ); and Gary Forshner of Stark & Stark (Princeton, NJ)
Distinguished Service Award: Louis Greenwald, NJ State Assembly, 6th Legislative District; Paul Sarlo, NJ State Senator, 36th Legislative District; Philip Haines, NJ State Senator, 8th Legislative District; and Joseph R. Malone, III, NJ State Assembly, 30th Legislative District
