Historic potluck: The Cranbury Historical Society is having their Pot Luck Supper at 6:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Cranbury. Tom Petrino, an appraiser for the New Jersey State Treasury will be the guest speaker. Attendees are invited to bring an object to be placed on a table and appraised in front of the audience after the supper.
Shabbat Across America: Congregation Etz Chaim Monroe Township Jewish Center will celebrate Shabbat Across America with a Kabbalat Shabbat service at 6:30 p.m. followed by a Kosher Shabbat dinner. $20 for adults 13 and up, $9 for children between 7 and 12, free for children 6 and under. Understanding Islam: The Education Committee of the Jewish Congregation of Concordia located at Perrineville and Prospect Plains roads presents Dr. Christopher Taylor, professor of Religion and director of Middle East studies at Drew University. A library celebration: The Monroe Township Library will celebrate its 20th Anniversary 9:30 a.m.-9:00 p.m. at the library, 4 Municipal Plaza. Patrons are invited to stop by during library hours for light refreshments to celebrate the Monroe Library providing 20 years of service to the community. Library jazz: Monroe Township Library’s 20th Anniversary Jazz Concert will be held at 7 p.m. at the library, 4 Municipal Plaza.
Join us for an evening of music featuring pianist John Bianculli, vocalist Deb Lyons, and percussionist Tom Baker.
Free tickets will be available at the Library beginning Wednesday, March 11.
Tickets will be given out on a first come, first served basis, with a limit of two tickets per person.

Ordained to be a Jew: The Education Committee of the Jewish Congregation of Concordia presents John Scalamonti author of “Ordained to be a Jew” at 7:30 p.m. He is a former Catholic priest who left the church to become an orthodox Jew in 1972.
