Montgomery family grateful for fire response

Robert and Lynn Stagon of Montgomery
On Dec. 15, our family suffered the tragic loss of our Belle Mead home to a fire. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the Rocky Hill, Belle Mead and Blawenburg Volunteer Fire Departments for their extraordinary efforts in responding to and extinguishing the fire. While our home will need to be rebuilt, we were able to retrieve and salvage quite a number of our belongings, family photographs, and things that are simply irreplaceable, and for this we are grateful.
This would not be possible without the bravery and care taken by the firemen who were working at our home. A representative of the restoration company who worked in our home, who deals with disaster situations on a regular basis, stated that he rarely sees the degree of care that was taken to preserve and protect our personal property in the house while fighting the fire.
We would also like to acknowledge the care and concern of the Montgomery Police Department during the fire. They made certain that we had shelter, food and clothing, and offered around-the-clock assistance to our family. They also ensured that our home and property were secured to avoid further damage and loss.
We now have a deeper level of appreciation for the concern and commitment that our local public servants in the volunteer fire and police departments have for their community.
