The Bucks County Audubon Society will host its annual spring fundraiser, Cabin Fever Feast, on March 27 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Honey Hollow Visitors Center, 2877 Creamery Road, Solebury Township.
The presenting sponsors for Cabin Fever Feast 2009 are The Asplundh Foundation and Peco, with additional support from the Massimino Building Group and Dr. Barry Oppenheim, Pediatric Eye Care and Eye Surgery.
Proceeds will benefit the Bucks County Audubon Society’s environmental education program.
Chair Leigh Smith, a resident of Solebury Township, has designed this year’s event with a spotlight on the work of several local artists. The promotional painting, “Winter Cabin,” is by Lambertville artist, Gordon Haas, and will be auctioned to the highest bidder. Live auctions of works by Stacie Speers Scott, George Thompson and Christopher Willett will also be held. In addition to artwork, live and silent auctions will include getaway vacations, restaurant certificates, classes and “treat yourself” spa packages.
”Last year’s Cabin Fever was a sell-out and word is out that this is one of the best bets in a crowded season of fundraising events,” said Patrick Bell, president of Buck’s County Audubon Society.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Bucks County Audubon Society and a special dessert by the baker of J. Scones, Jodi Schad, will mark the occasion.
