   Comedy Night is being held on Saturday, March 21, 6:30 p.m. at McGrath Hall of Saints Francis and Clare Parish, Roebling. Tickets include performance by three professional comedians, buffet dinner, beer and wine for $35 per person. The third annual event is hosted by the Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society and Altar Rosary Society of SFC.

   Florence High School Baseball’s Diamond Club is sponsoring its First Annual Alumni game to take place on March 21 at noon at Veterans’ Field. Registration is $20 and includes a T-shirt, hot dog and drink at the game. Parents will be able to meet and greet the coaches following the event from 6 – 9 p.m. at the Marconi Lodge. A $20 donation will be collected at the door. For Alumni participating in both events the combine donation is $30. Flashes baseball apparel and hats will be on sale during the evening.    Florence Township Chapter of Deborah will have their monthly meeting on Thursday, March 26, at 7:30 p.m. at the Sterling House. Inez and Harold Blakeslee of Roebling will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on March 28. Congratulations to both of you.

   The VFW Post 8838 Ladies Auxiliary will hold its regular monthly meeting on April 13 at 7 p.m. Nominations and elections of officers for the new year will be held.

   11th Annual Bike Eric to benefit Eric Potts who was injured in a LaCrosse game when he was 21 years old and is now quadraplegic from the chest down. This benefits the Eric Potts Foundation and will take place at Bungs Tavern in Florence on April 25 starting at 8 a.m. Famous Dr. T-Shirt to the first 100 registrants.    Please help out in this fundraiser for Eric and his wife and little boy. There are many health costs not covered. Also the money raised not only helps Eric, but also others with spinal cord injuries.
