MANVILLE: Police blotter

   Christopher Sawyer, 34, of Manville Avenue, was charged with driving while his license was revoked at 11:45 a.m. March 10. He was released after the charge was filed, pending an appearance in Municipal Court.
   A South Reading Avenue resident reported on March 11 someone fraudulently attempted to use a credit card of his. He reported the incident to his bank and the police before any charges were made, as a matter of record.
   Adesa Auto Auctions, on North Main Street, reported the theft of a gray 2006 Nissan Altima, valued at $12,000, from the lot.
   A caller reported finding a men’s 24-inch, 18-speed Huffy mountain bike on his property. Police picked the bike up for storage.
   A police patrol reported finding graffiti on two stop signs in the parking lot at the Marketplace Shopping Center on North Main Street at 11:39 a.m. March 13.
   A Somerville juvenile was turned over to police after Wal-Mart security personnel said they observed him attempting to shoplift a package of snap-off knives, priced at $1.47. Police released the boy in the custody of his parents.
   Firefighters extinguished a fire on the porch of a Richard Avenue residence at 4:04 a.m. March 15.
   Two South Seventh Avenue residents reported damage to vehicles parked on the street overnight March 14 – March 15.
   The first resident reported finding damage to the vehicle’s right front fender, estimated at $1,000 to repair, at 5:30 p.m. March 15.
   The second report, made at 7:30 p.m., noted damage to the driver’s side rear panel, estimated to cost $500 to repair.
   A Jackson Avenue resident reported at 6:44 a.m. March 16 that the driver’s side front window of a vehicle parked at the residence had been broken.
