Michael Lane, 19, of Tinton Falls, was charged March 12 with possession of marijuana under 50 grams.
Police said they saw Mr. Lane at 2:30 p.m. not wearing a seat belt while driving east on Route 33 near Twin Rivers Drive. Police said that once they stopped him, they observed rolling papers and loose tobacco on the vehicle’s floor. A search revealed a container of marijuana and a smoking pipe in Mr. Lane’s pocket and another pipe in the vehicle’s center console, police said.
Mr. Lane also was charged with narcotics paraphernalia, failure to wear a seat belt and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
Douglas MacMillan, 41, of Woodfield Drive, was charged March 13 with driving while intoxicated.
Police said they responded to a cellphone call at 7:20 p.m. from a motorist who was following a vehicle that had struck a street sign on Route 33 in Hightstown and left the scene. Police said the driver followed Mr. MacMillan to a residence on Woodfield Drive.
He also was charged with reckless driving, careless driving and failure to maintain lane of travel.
Nancy Boganski, 44, of Roosevelt, was charged Monday with driving while intoxicated and possession of a controlled dangerous substance/prescription drug.
Police said they responded to a cellphone call at 10 p.m. from a motorist who said a another motorist was driving carelessly on Route 33 near Hickory Corner Road. The motorist followed Ms. Boganski to the Wal-Mart parking lot. Police said a search revealed three Xanex pills in Ms. Boganski’s wallet.
She also was charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to maintain lane and possession of a CDS in a motor vehicle.
Barbara Kicinska, 60, of Mercerville, was charged March 12 with shoplifting.
Police said Ms. Kicinski at 4:45 p.m. concealed $24.89 worth of groceries down her pants and in her purse and left the ShopRite supermarket without paying.
Patricia McHale-Eosso, 39, of Spyglass Court, was charged Saturday with shoplifting.
Police said Ms. McHale-Eosso placed $104.39 of groceries in a cart at 3:33 p.m. at the ShopRite grocery store and tried to leave without paying.
The owner of a 2002 Nissan Altima said two Dell Inspiron laptop computers, a leather carrying case and a black iPod were stolen from the vehicle between 9 p.m. March 13 and 11 a.m. Saturday while it was parked near the J building at the Windsor Castle Apartments. The vehicle was unlocked.
The owner estimated the value of the stolen items at $1,050.
The owner of 1999 Nissan Maxima said someone entered the vehicle and took a Tom Tom GPS unit and a iPod charger between 6 p.m. March 11 and 5 p.m. March 12. The vehicle was unlocked.
The victim estimated the total value of the stolen items at $565.
The front-door glass of the laundry room in the Princeton Arms Apartments building 2 was shattered between 12:30 a.m. and 9:50 p.m. March 13. The damage was valued at $200.
