Cooking with the Chef Cooking Class Fundraiser at the Yardley Inn

By Yardley Inn
On Tuesday, March 31, 2009, the Yardley Inn Restaurant & Bar will host its seventh annual cooking class, which benefits the Lower Makefield 9/11 Garden of Reflection. Executive Chef Eben Copple will lead several interactive cooking demonstrations with a focus on scrumptious pasta dishes. The cooking demonstration kicks off at 7 p.m. and will last roughly two hours.
“You call up some friends, they meet you at the Inn, and you have a fun night learning how to make Eben’s pasta dishes!” says Ellen Saracini, spokesperson for the Garden of Reflection Committee. “The only thing better than that is the fact that you are supporting the Garden. Our friends at the Yardley Inn are hosting our Seventh Annual Cooking with the Chef and once again we are grateful for their love and support.”
“We really enjoy being involved with the community, and we especially like helping our friends at the Garden of Reflection,” said Yardley Inn owner Bob Freed. “We are proud to support this Lower Makefield memorial with our annual cooking class fundraiser, and we look forward to many more successful years working together with Ellen and the Garden of Reflection committee.”
Tasty dishes on this year’s cooking demonstration menu include: Fresh tagliatelle with green beans, potatoes and pesto; Braised beef ravioli with rosemary butter and savory sauce; and Calamarata with seafood, tomatoes and chiles.
The Cooking with the Chef Fundraiser will include hands-on audience participation, recipes to take home, food tastings, and complimentary wine. Admission is $35 per person (tax deductible) and all proceeds go directly to the 9/11 Garden of Reflection for upkeep and maintenance of the gardens. Seating is limited, so please make your reservations early by calling 215-493-3800.
Recipes will be available for publication closer to the date of the event and high resolution photographs will be available following the event.
