BORDENTOWN CITY: Police Beat, from the March 26 edition

BORDENTOWN CITY
   Walter Narkun Jr., 46, of Trenton, was charged with the December burglary of the Bordentown Yacht Club at 11:45 a.m. March 23 after police said he was recognized on a surveillance tape and picked up by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department.
   Police said in December he broke into a freezer unit and stole alcohol worth a total of $1,000. He was lodged in Burlington County Jail in default of $5,000 bail.

   Kelly Ann Sunkiskis, of Yardville, 43, was charged with attempting to pass a fraudulent prescription at 12:05 p.m. March 20 stemming from an incident that occurred in December 2008.
   Police said she was apprehended by Mercer County sheriff’s officers and turned over to Bordentown City. She was lodged in Burlington County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

   Police said Matthew Delano, 23, of Mount Laurel, was charged with drunken driving, failure to stop at a stop sign, reckless driving and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle at 1:26 p.m. March 18 after police said he drove through a stop sign on Ward Avenue onto Routes 130/206. He was released to a friend with a late March court date.

   Adorn Beauty Salon reported a theft of $450 and a $50 bicycle at 10:32 a.m. March 18.
   Police said the owner discovered the money missing, and a surveillance camera had captured the theft in progress. Police said Frank Hornchek, 30, of Bordentown, a former employee of the salon, was recognized and charged at 1:46 p.m. the same day.
   He was charged with two counts of burglary and three counts of theft and released with a court date in late March.
