FLORENCE
Two men were charged March 19 after police said they received reports of a man looking into parked vehicles on Creekwood Drive.
Police first questioned Jason Gufrovich, 30, of Yardville, who was seen in the area, and police said he was not able to account for his presence there. Police said he was carrying a large plastic bag with a small amount of money in it that had been reported taken from a car earlier and a portable hard drive.
He was charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled dangerous substance at 8:30 a.m. and lodged in Burlington County Jail.
The second man, Tyler Perry, 18, of Bordentown, was charged with conspiracy and possession of a weapon (a switchblade knife) at 1:08 p.m. Police said he had transported Mr. Gufrovich around the area to look for cars to break into. He was released on his own recognizance.
Luis Perez Melendez, 22, of Philadelphia, was charged March 17 with possession of fewer than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drugs in a motor vehicle, failure to stop for a red signal and failure to give proper signal.
Police said they stopped him at 12:48 a.m. on Route 130 for failing to properly signal a turn and found a cigarette of suspected marijuana in the vehicle. He was released on his own recognizance.
