Manalapan Symphony Orchestra to perform

MANALAPAN — The Manalapan Arts Council will present the Manalapan Symphony Orchestra’s spring concert at 3 p.m. April 19 at Manalapan High School, Church Lane. The Manalapan Symphony Orchestra will perform two orchestral masterpieces presented with a Latin flair. The program will include Schubert’s “Unfinished Symphony” and the Brahms Violin Concerto. “Angelica,” a piece by Venezuelan composer Efrain Amaya, will open the concert. An art exhibit will be presented by the Manalapan Senior Center prior to the concert. The orchestra is made up primarily of volunteer musicians who donate their time and effort for the concert programs. New members are always welcome. Anyone interested in becoming a member of the symphony may call 732-446-8303 for more information. Manalapan Symphony concerts are funded by the Manalapan Arts Council as part of the council’s efforts to bring a variety of free arts programming to residents.
