Richard Kish, of Marval, Texas
At the end of February, South Brunswick Township, the Kendall Park Fire Company, and the Fire Commissioners of District One suffered a tremendous loss of a resident, colleague and friend.
Jim Paulus, a long time township resident, dedicated servant in the fire service, long time fire commissioner in District One, and a friend to many passed leaving a very long legacy of contributions to the township and residents.
Jim was a very caring person and friend whom I had the opportunity to serve with for many years and who spent a great deal of his time serving the community. Jim spent endless nights in fire commissioner meetings, responding to fire calls, and being a friend to the members of the fire community. These were the things that Jim loved to do and did so well. Jim dedicated lots of his time to the community and I will always remember his mentoring and leadership.
Jim will be missed by many and I am sure my thoughts are shared by many, many others. Jim did not leave us without a fight and he continued to serve throughout the challenge. In the spirit of a true firefighter, Jim never gave up.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Jim’s family for their loss.
