Will host
“Go Green With Greyhounds” Clothing Collection Drive
Clean out your closets, recycle and help save greyhounds
Saturday, April 18th
9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
Greyhound Friends of New Jersey, a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of retired racing greyhounds, is hosting a clothing drive fundraiser. Each pound collected will generate cash to help pay for housing, medical help and care of rescued greyhounds waiting for loving homes. And it will help keep our landfills free of clothing.
GFNJ will be collecting clean, wearable clothing, shoes and accessories, soft household items, i.e. bedding, curtains, tablecloths, and towels. The group also welcomes children’s hard toys and stuffed animals. All donated items must be in tied plastic bags such as garbage or shopping bags.
Greyhound Friends of New Jersey volunteers will be collecting donated items at the following locations throughout NJ:
Tabernacle Bed & Biscuit, 46 Carranza Rd., Tabernacle, NJ 08088
Rusty’s Place, 1141 Greenwood Lake Turnpike, Ringwood, NJ 07456
Maria Lutz, 18 Scott Drive, Monroe Township, NJ 08831
Ask your family, friends, and co-workers to clean out their closets for a great cause. Get the children involved in this worthwhile project —clean their closets, help greyhounds and our environment—doesn’t get much better than that!!
