AMonmouth County grand jury returned an indictment March 18, charging Marco Scaranni, 58, formerly of Jackson, with one count of second degree theft by deception. The charge relates to Scaranni’s operation of Scaranni Tile, LLC, on Route 9 north in Freehold Township.
Scaranni Tile, LLC., was a contracting firm engaged in the business of home improvements, remodeling and renovations, according to a press release from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
A joint investigation conducted by the prosecutor’s office in conjunction with the Freehold Township Police Department revealed that Scaranni solicited contracts for Scaranni Tile, LLC, in an aggregate amount exceeding $75,000 from approximately seven customers for various remodeling and home improvement projects.
