   Wellness in the workplace — The Robbinsville chapter of the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold its breakfast meeting at 8 a.m. at Roma Bank headquarters, 2300 Route 33. The featured speaker will be Lindsay Vastola, fitness trainer and founder of Body Project Fitness & Health, who will analyze the quickly-growing trend of corporate wellness programs.    Pasta Festival — The Robbinsville-Hamilton Township Sunrise Rotary Club presents Family Pasta Festivalfrom 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Nottingham Ballroom on Mercer Street. Adult admission is $12; children 5-12 are $6; kids 4 and under eat free. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

   ”Babytime” — Children ages 1 – 2 and their parents are invited to join the fun at the Robbinsville branch of the Mercer County Library System at 10:30 a.m. Come enjoy rhymes, songs, and simple stories with your young child. Pre-registration is required for all library programs.

   Play ball! — It’s Opening Day for New Egypt Girls Softball, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition to exhibition games, there will be a moon bounce, face-painting and tattoos, caricature drawings, food, a gift auction and bake sale. Ashley Anderson of Clarksburg, who recently auditioned for American Idol and made it to Hollywood, will sing the national anthem.

   Stream of conscience-ness — The Upper Freehold Environmental Advisory Committee and the Crosswicks-Doctors Creek Watershed Association is holding its annual stream cleanup from 9 a.m. noon. This year the clean-up will be held at Imlaystown Lake, off of Imlaystown Road (just east of the Happy Apple Inn). Volunteers are welcome and may park in the grass clearing on the lakeside. Bags, gloves, and light refreshments will be provided. Volunteers are asked to wear long pants and boots or old shoes/sneakers. Sunscreen and bug repellant also advised.    Easter egg hunt — The Allentown Lions Club’s annual event starts at 9 a.m. sharp near the basketball court on Lakeview Drive. There will be many prizes for the youngsters. The rain date is Sunday, April 5 at 1 p.m.

   Picture that — The Allentown Lions Club will be selling beverages, bagels and donuts at the Allentown Little League Opening Day Team Picture event at the Allentown Elementary school. There will also be a 50/50 raffle with the proceeds going toward the Allentown Lions High Scholarship.

   Nutritional meeting — The Horsemen’s Association of Millstone Township will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at the Community Center, 463 Stagecoach Road, in the Clarksburg section. Michael L. Westendorf from Rutgers University, Dept. of Animal Sciences will give a presentation on “New Nutrient Management Regulations mandated by NJ Department of Agriculture.” The public is welcome to attend.

   Art sale — The Plumsted Township Council for the Arts will be holding a Y-ART sale from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the annual New Egypt Day festival. Everything art-related will be for sale, including prints, photographs, music, art books, arts and crafts supplies. The council will be accepting donations at the Welcome Center at 31 Main St. in New Egypt on April 11 and May 9 from 10 a.m. to noon.    Discussing books – The Plumsted branch of the Ocean County Library has a book discussion group that meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Registration can be done in person, by phone at 609-758-7888 or online at www.theoceancountylibrary.org.
   Tax help in Robbinsville: Every Wednesday, through April 15, volunteers from AARP will be available at the Robbinsville Branch, Mercer County Library to help anyone fill out basic income tax forms. Appointments are every hour on the half-hour starting at 9:30 a.m., with the last appointment at 12:30 p.m. The only requirement is that you bring last year’s completed form and this year’s income tax booklet. Registration is a must. You may call or stop at the library to arrange for an appointment. The library’s phone number is 609-259-2150.
   ESL group in Allentown: English As A Second Language classes for adults meet every Thursday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Upper Freehold Regional Middle School, 27 High St., room 203. A multi-media approach is used to teach English with a concentration on the English necessary for parents with children in school. No class if school is closed for the day.
   Millstone Women’s Club: The Millstone Township Women’s Organization meets every fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. September through May at the Clarksburg Community Center, Stage Coach Road. All Millstone Township women are welcome and encouraged to join.

   Robbinsville networking: The Robbinsville Business Networking Group meets at 9:30 a.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.
