David Melton II, 35, and his wife Sonja Melton, 37, both of Bordentown City, were charged March 21 with simple assault and defiant trespass.
Police said after closing for the night, employees of the HOB Tavern on Second Street heard pounding on the front door at 1:55 a.m. Then they opened it, Mr. and Ms. Melton, who earlier had been asked to leave and escorted from the bar, pushed their way inside and attacked two employees, according to a police report. Police said after a brief struggle, the Meltons ran out of the bar and down a side street.
The Hope Hose Humane Company No. 1 Fire, First Aid and Rescue Squad transported one of the employees to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton, where he was treated and released for minor injuries.
See Allah, 38, of Trenton, was charged March 21 with driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain a lane and reckless driving.
Police said they stopped him at 12:59 a.m. on Route 130 after seeing him come off the ramp of Interstate 295, swerve to the right and almost strike the curb, and then cross quickly left over to the median line. Once at Route 130 and Farnsworth Avenue, police said Mr. Allah waited about 30 seconds at a green light before turning right onto Farnsworth and then crossing into the lane of oncoming traffic.
He was released to a friend.
