Nancy L. Minnick of Bordentown City
To the editor:
When it comes to electing city commissioners, character counts.
Recently, our government was confronted with re-zoning legislation that threatened to change the very makeup of Bordentown City. When citizens voiced their concerns, Commissioner Jim Lynch was there to listen. Unfettered by politics, Commissioner Lynch’s honest, open door attitude gave Bordentonians what this town really needs: A government that works for the people.
Thanks to the actions of Mr. Lynch and citizens like former Commissioner Zig Targonski, who spoke with sincerity and the experience to back it up, the integrity of Bordentown City has remained intact, despite whopping legislation that would seek to destroy what the people of this town know and love to call home.
Honesty. Sincerity. Integrity. These are the character traits which enable trust in and respect of city government to be retained and restored.
Retain Jim Lynch.
Restore Zig Targonski.
Because, this year more than ever: for City Commissioner, character counts.
