Mrs. Uptegrove, 80, of Hazlet, died March 11, 2009, at Bayshore Health Care, Holmdel. She was predeceased by five brothers, Albert, Nicholas, William, Anthony and Ray Adamik; and a sister, Barbara Claypoole. She is survived by her husband, Edward Uptegrove; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jean Uptegrove of Union Beach; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Mark Severance of Centerville, Ohio; three sisters, Elizabeth Fitzsimmons of Springfield, Alberta Smith of Apollo, Pa., and Louise Reynolds of Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, Dennis Berry of Clark and Kevin Berry of California; and six grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. Entombment followed at Holmdel Mausoleum. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
