In a continuing effort to raise money for Hillsborough Volunteer Fire Co. No. 2, the Ladies’ Auxiliary will be, for the second year, holding its annual Vendor and Craft Fair on Saturday.
Christine Berju, a member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary, said she initially had organized other events, including a New Age Fair and a Holistic Fair, which the company no longer hosts.
Instead, with this combined vendor and craft fair, she said, many members can get involved in putting the event together and organizing all the necessities.
”Everyone is helping with setting up the firehouse and running the fair,” she said. “Some of the firemen show up to take the trucks out of the bays before the fair and put them back after. It is truly a group effort.”
According to Ms. Berju, there will be many different vendors participating in this year’s fair, some of whom have participated before.
”Our fair is a first-come, first-serve, so sometimes a vendor from the past doesn’t get their application in before a new one does,” she said. “Sometimes people are busy on the day we pick.”
Among the participating vendors this year are Avon, Hillsborough Racquet & Fitness Club, Second Chance Animals, Pampered Chef, Katz Kustom Threads, Glorious Jewelry, Gold Canyon Candles, Fun with Crafts, Affordable Elegance, Chilis, Home and Garden, The Specialty Corner, Love Your Pet, Interiors Unlimited, Designer Like Handbags, Aloha Mind Math, Purely Gourmet, Allegra School of Music and MTP Plumbing.
The fair will be held at the firehouse, on Route 206, with parking available in the upper lot by Hamilton Road or on the grass behind the fire house. Parking will not be allowed by Hillsborough Radiology or at the firehouse.
The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
