HOLMDEL — The Holmdel Volunteers in Parks program has unveiled its spring lineup of earth-friendly events.
A cleanup was held March 28 of areas surrounding Bayonet Farm and the Ramanessin Brook Greenway.
The cleanup came just in time for Earth Day celebrations, as well as the Earth Day Greenway Walk and Festival on Sunday, April 26. Participants can come to as many cleanup sessions as desired.
Cleanup times continue April 18 and April 19, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and April 25, from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Participants are asked to meet at Bayonet Farm, 41 Middletown Road, at the parking lot at the end of the entrance driveway near the Harding house, and to wear gardening clothes, sneakers, hiking shoes, hats and gloves.
Cleanup participants are also advised to bring their own hand pruner or long-handled pruner, bow saw, garden rake and water bottle.
