Partnership in Philanthropy Accepting Applications for its Capacity Building Consulting Program
Chatham, NJ, April 2, 2009 … Partnership in Philanthropy (PIP) a Chatham-based nonprofit organization is accepting applications for its capacity building consultancy program. Partnership in Philanthropy’s mission is to make good nonprofits better and in doing so is accepting applications for its new client cycle the deadline for applications is May 15, 2009. PIP is a partnership of funders and fundraising professionals who work with NJ nonprofits to build long-term fundraising leadership skills.
A highly competitive application process selects up to 10 nonprofits per year to receive fundraising consulting services at affordable rates. Each nonprofit selected receives 165 consulting hours over a two-year period, focus is placed on prospect identification, donor cultivation, donor solicitation, donor follow-up, stewardship and board development.
"In the eighteen years PIP has been providing services, more that 80 percent of our consulting clients report that they double their philanthropic revenues within three years of beginning a consultative relationship with us," said Becky Dembo, PIP Executive Director. "Our goals are to help nonprofits with a number of important functions, including to increase revenue, identify new funding sources, learn fundraising techniques, diversify funding sources, develop fundraising plans and build stronger boards with board members who are knowledgeable about both the organizations they serve and the role they play in ensuring a successful outcome."
Founded in 1991, PIP provides assessment, consulting and training to nonprofit organizations, and since its inception has provided technical assistance, training and professional fundraising consulting services to arts, education, health and human service organizations in all 21 New Jersey counties.
