There’s no question that eastern Monmouth County — Asbury Park, Long Branch and Red Bank — is a cultural hub where great art is created and celebrated in events like the TriCity Arts Tour.
Last year’s TriCity Arts Tour drew crowds to more than 100 featured events. This year, on May 15, 16 and 17, a group of arts, business and civic organizations will join forces once again to present the TriCity Arts Tour 2009.
This year’s festival promises to be bigger and better than before, with new venues, new participating artists and a new spirit designed to showcase the depth and vitality of the local arts scene.
From grand old auditoriums to cuttingedge gallery spaces, museums and libraries to saloons and sidewalks, the TriCities is a place of diversity, with venues located just minutes from one another by train and convenient to anywhere in New Jersey.
In addition to a homegrown music scene, the TriCity Arts Tour 2009 will showcase film, theater, sculpture, painting, photography, craft workshops, historical sightseeing and more than a few things that are next to impossible to classify.
The Tri-City Arts Tour 2009 is presented in part by the Urban Enterprise Zone offices for the cities of Long Branch and Asbury Park; the Arts Coalition of Asbury Park; Long Branch Arts Council; Red Bank RiverCenter, and the Monmouth County Arts Council.

The TriCity Arts Tour also welcomes volunteers to help distribute promotional materials, assist with directions and provide stage support at our information centers and outdoor performance areas in each of the three towns. This is a great opportunity for students and young artists to be a part of this exciting event, so call 732-923-2043 for additional details.
