EAST WINDSOR: Police Beat

   A 17-year-old Hightstown female was charged Monday with prescription fraud.
   Police said officers responded to a reported prescription fraud at the CVS Pharmacy on Route 130. They said the pharmacist reported an attempt to fill a fraudulent prescription for 60 pills of 80 mg Oxycontin.
   The young woman also was charged with forgery and receiving stolen property.

   Jeffery DeJesus, 22, of North Brunswick, and Juan Carlos Peralta, 19, of New Brunswick, were charged March 27 with possession of marijuana under 50 grams.
   Police said officers saw Mr. DeJesus weaving in his lane at 12:25 a.m. while driving north on Route 130 near Route 571, with Mr. Peralta riding in the front passenger seat.
   Police said during the stop they observed loose marijuana on the floor of the vehicle, and a search revealed more loose marijuana in the center console area.
   Mr. DeJesus also was charged with driving with a suspended license, failure to maintain lane of travel and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle.
   Police said Mr. Peralta was found to have an active warrant for $250 from North Brunswick, and was transferred to the North Brunswick Police Department. He also was charged with obstructing the administration of law, hindering apprehension and falsifying governmental records.

   Deirdre Rainey, 27, of Trenton, was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated.
   Police said officers saw Ms. Rainey at 12:45 a.m. speeding on the southbound side of Route 130 near Conover Road.
   She also was charged with reckless driving, careless driving, speeding and failure to maintain lane of travel.

   Windsor Nissan on Route 130 reported the theft of 11 catalytic converters from Nissan Rogues parked on their lot between 9 p.m. March 27 and 1 p.m. Saturday. Three of the converters were later found hidden in a grassy area near the lot.
   The total value of the property still missing is $5,672.

   Margaret Corrigan, 54, of Harding Court, was charged Sunday with shoplifting.
   Police said Ms. Corrigan attempted to leave the ShopRite on Route 130 without paying for $17.66 worth of items concealed in her purse.

   The owner of a 2008 Honda Accord reported that a man attempted to burglarize her vehicle at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday while it was parked on Probasco Road. The victim told police that she had left the vehicle unlocked while she and another individual were unloading items into their home.
   She said while returning to the car from her home she observed the unknown male leaning inside the vehicle from the passenger door. Nothing was reported stolen.
