HIGHTSTOWN: Police Beat

   Two unknown males burglarized an apartment in building 1 of the Deerfield Apartments at about 6:30 p.m. March 25.
   Police said the subjects forced entry through the front door upon discovering the apartment was unoccupied. A laptop computer, jewelry and money were stolen, with a total value of $2,070.
   One suspect was described as being about 20 years old, 5-feet-8-inches tall, 180 pounds and having short-cropped hair. The other suspect was described as being 5-feet-8-inches tall, heavyset and having short cropped hair.
   Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 448-1234.

   Angel Rivera, 18, of Hamilton, was charged Saturday with possession of marijuana under 50 grams.
   Police said Mr. Rivera was stopped at 11:44 p.m. on Towne Center Drive for having an expired inspection sticker on his vehicle. Police said they observed loose marijuana on the floor of the car, as well as the odor of an alcoholic beverage. A search of the vehicle with the K-9 unit revealed two baggies of marijuana, police added.
   Mr. Rivera also was charged possession of drug paraphernalia, controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and underage consumption of an alcoholic beverage.

   Blair Shupe, 20, of Levittown, Pa., was charged Monday with possession of marijuana under 50 grams.
   Police said officers stopped Mr. Shupe on Franklin Street at 9:57 p.m. for failing to maintain lamps. Police said a search of the vehicle revealed a baggie of marijuana and a pipe with marijuana residue in it.
   Mr. Shupe also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, being under the influence of a CDS, and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

   Eudofilio Gomez, 52, of East Windsor, was charged March 27 with driving while intoxicated.
   Police said they responded at 10:41 p.m. to a report of an altercation between two highly intoxicated males on Manlove Avenue. Police said their investigation revealed that Mr. Gomez had driven to the scene while intoxicated.
   He also was charged with careless driving, reckless driving, refusal to submit breath samples and driving on a suspended license.
