Thomas Csapo of Bordentown City
To the editor:
It’s a very interesting time in Bordentown where we have three commission seats to be filled and eight people running for the positions. You have a choice to make on Election Day, May 12, which centers around who you want to lead Bordentown for the immediate future. Three positions, each one is an important as the other. They are broken down into the Financial, Public Safety and Municipal Works commissions. As you may or may not know, the candidate that receives the most votes is selected as the mayor of the city with the second and third highest vote count rounding out the commission. The three elected officials decide after the election what job they will be doing for the entire term of office.
There have been rumors around town that some candidates are endorsing the practice of bullet voting. Bullet voting is simply voting for only one candidate, and not three. This technique is a very powerful tool in promoting only one candidate, but destroys a fair chance, and opportunity for others running. I ask all that are going to vote on May 12 to examine the candidates’ resumes, talk to the candidates and form a good solid opinion for whom you want to support on election day. Bordentown’s success is so very important to all and now more than ever, with eight people running for three positions, your vote will be counted.
