Doctor retires

Robert Carty, MD of Bordentown Family Medical Center
To the editor:
As one of the founding physicians of Bordentown Family Medical Center, it is with mixed emotions that I inform you that I’m retiring from our practice, which has been here in Bordentown for almost 25 years.
When we first opened our doors in 1985, our goal was to establish a center of medical excellence with multiple family physicians who care for patients of all ages—from grandchildren to grandparents. Having achieved our initial goal, I’m proud to turn the responsibility for the center’s current and future growth over to Medical Director Dr. Robert Pedowitz.
In my retirement, I will pursue a medical position working exclusively for the New Jersey State Police and enjoying more time at home with my family. I wanted to write this to publicly let my patients know how much I will miss their visits. Rest assured, all of the fine physicians now at Bordentown Family Medical Center are here to continue the same tradition of care that we started almost 25 years ago.
Over the years, my patients invited me into their lives with trust and respect. I thank them all for instilling this trust in me and hope that they continue to visit Bordentown Family Medical Center as their choice for the most comprehensive, high quality family medicine.
