Newcomers support Cheesman

Stephanie Ashton and Alfonso Smullen of Bordentown City
To the editor:
We are relative newcomers to Bordentown. Our family moved here in 2004 to enjoy this small city, our new and large back yard and the superb school district. We love Bordentown City.
Heather Cheesman is our friend. She is a curious and busy person. Ever spend time with her? Exhausting and exciting at the same time: learning, reading, asking, debating, creating, cooking, partying, enjoying life.
Heather speaks her mind while listening to yours; she is not afraid to disagree. She will however, let you know when she needs to learn more about a subject before forming an opinion. Heather will listen and talk to anyone at any time and is constantly making new friends and acquaintances.
Heather has taken on a myriad of challenges in her life thus far: advocating for the underrepresented, educating our youth, learning about NJ politics, raising an educated family and battling her cancer.
We will vote for Heather Cheesman for City Commissioner on May 12. This is why: Bordentown City is in Heather’s heart. This is her city. She knows every nook and cranny and all the details. She is knowledgeable about folks’ needs and wants. Heather knows how to get things accomplished or will figure out who she needs to contact. We trust Heather’s judgment and value her dedication to making life enjoyable and fair for all of us.
