HIGHTSTOWN: Police Beat

   A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Nicholas Jacobus, 20, of Stockton Street, on a charge of hindering his own apprehension.
   Police said officers responded at 1:53 a.m. April 1 to a report of people climbing on the monument at Stockton Street and Rogers Avenue. Police said they found Mr. Jacobus at the scene without identification, and that he falsely identified himself as John Ryan Armitage. Police said they later returned to Mr. Jacobus’ residence, but no one answered the door.
   Police said he has outstanding warrants from Robbinsville in the amount of $1,392 and East Windsor in the amount of $500.
   Anyone with information to his location is asked to contact the Hightstown police at 448-1234.

   Freddy Ramos, Jr., 55, of East Windsor, was charged April 3 with driving while intoxicated.
   Police said officers saw Mr. Ramos at 9:07 p.m. driving on North Main Street at a high rate of speed, almost striking the parked police vehicle as it passed.
   Mr. Ramos also was charged with DWI in a school zone, careless driving, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and failure to submit breath samples.

   Robyn Jacobs, 23, of Monmouth Junction, was charged Monday with driving while intoxicated.
   Police said officers saw Ms. Jacobs at 11:51 p.m. driving 40 mph in a 25-mph zone on North Main Street. Police said breath tests found her to have a blood alcohol content of .13 percent.
   She also was charged with DWI in a school zone, speeding and reckless driving.

   Samantha Schaaf, 26, of Windsor, was charged Sunday with possession of marijuana under 50 grams.
   Police said a random license plate check revealed that Ms. Schaaf’s driving privileges had been revoked. Police said Ms. Schaaf consented to a search of the vehicle and told the officer that she had marijuana and a marijuana pipe in the vehicle’s center consul, which were found.
   She also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

   Betty Williams-Ruffins, 43, of Bordentown, was charged April 3 with driving on a suspended license.
   Police said officers stopped Ms. Williams-Ruffins at 6:38 p.m. on Mercer Street for having an expired inspection sticker. Police said a credential check revealed that her license was suspended and that she had an outstanding warrant from Bordentown for $275.
   She also was charged with contempt of court, failure to inspect a vehicle and expired registration.

   Nathaniel Shivers, 30, of Franklin Street, was charged Sunday with possession of a fraudulent insurance card.
   Police said Mr. Shivers was stopped at 1:23 a.m. on Franklin Street for speeding. Police said Mr. Shivers handed the officer an insurance card where the expiration date had been altered, using whiteout.

   A First Avenue resident reported that $1,000, in $10 denominations, was stolen from the resident’s dresser drawer between March 1 and Saturday. The victim had been away, and there were no signs of forced entry, police said.

   A women reported that her wallet was stolen from her car while it was parked at the intersection of Dye Street and Morrison Avenue between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. April 3. The victim said she had left the windows open and her purse in the vehicle, police said.
   The victim told police the wallet contained $50 in cash, various credit cards, her drivers license and her Social Security card.
