Aluna Mettler, 52, no address given, was charged with failure to stop, failure to exhibit documents, and driving an uninsured vehicle at 8:28 a.m. March 30, after a motor vehicle accident on Driscoll Street and Rabens Avenue.
Police reported to the scene after hearing a report about the incident from the Franklin Township Police Department. Ms. Mettler was transported to Somerset Medical Center for non life-threatening injuries.
Sean Sequeira, of South Main Street, was issued a borough ordinance violation at 11:58 a.m. March 30, for failure to clean up after his dogs.
A Hillsborough resident reported at 12:42 a.m. March 30 that her wallet had been stolen from her purse while she was shopping at Wal-Mart on North Main Street. The wallet contained credit cards and $25 in cash. An investigation is ongoing.
A North 10th Avenue resident came to police headquarters at 5:30 p.m. April 1 to report the theft of a Toshiba Protégé laptop computer. According to the resident, the computer, valued at $1,000, was taken from her vehicle when it was parked in her driveway overnight.
Police entered the computer into the National Crime Information Center database, and are conducting an investigation.
At 7 a.m. April 2, a caller reported finding graffiti in on the back of the Kaschak building on South Main Street, near TJK Travel Agency and the Midtown Deli. Patrols reported finding black spray-painted symbols on the building, and estimated the cost to repair the damage at $500.
Matthew R. Shrewsbury, 23, of Milford, was charged with lewdness at 9:53 p.m. April 2 for urinating outside the Quick Chek store on Brooks Boulevard.
A White Avenue resident came to police headquarters at 1:33 p.m. April 4, and reported that someone stole his red GT Tempest mountain bike from outside the Northside Lounge the prior evening.
The resident reported that the bike was unsecured outside the bar, and is valued at $500.
