A well-established local construction company, named for its owner’s two daughters and specializing in kitchen, bath, tile, lighting, hardware and door improvements, is moving into North Main Street, Pennington, quarters now and has a grand opening scheduled for this Saturday, April 11.
The company is A&E Construction, owned by Greg Fontaine. Mr. Fontaine and his family live on Pennington-Lawrenceville Road, just south of Pennington.
Saturday’s grand opening, set for noon to 4 p.m., will include displays and literature on how to cash in on up to $1,500 in tax credits for energy-efficient home improvements.
”I started A&E Construction six years ago, after having worked 15 years in the construction field for others,” Mr. Fontaine said Monday. “A&E Construction is named after my two daughters, Anna and Emily.”
If you live, work or otherwise spend much time in Hopewell Valley, chances are good you’ve seen an A&E truck running. There are five of them on the road regularly right now.
A&E’s new home is at 287-A N. Main St., Pennington. That’s on the western side of North Main Street, just south of the bridge over the CSX railroad tracks in northern Pennington.
Mr. Fontaine says he has tried to use every modern resource in helping clients plan work he can do for them.
”I’ve always welcomed a good challenge and take pride in transforming clients’ homes into more useful and enjoyable spaces to live,” he said. “I think I’m a good listener, and I first try to understand a client’s needs and hopes before setting on a path for design. Our new office space has attractive kitchen, bath, tile, lighting, hardware and door displays along with a meeting room that utilizes high speed Internet and manufacturer Web sites to provide ideas and solutions to meet all our clients’ needs.”
A&E’s front office has a photo gallery depicting the company’s work before, during and after projects A&E has done. “We also provide 3-D computer-aided design drawings, to help clients visualize how their projects will look,” Mr. Fontaine said.
