Free Car Care Event Scheduled for National Car Care Month

By Car Care Council
Cranberry, Pa. – April 14, 2009 – In celebration of National Car Care Month in April, Action Auto Service, Inc. will be offering free basic car checks, free child car safety seat checks, car care information and tips, and give-aways on 4/18/2009 starting at 10:00 AM at The Cranberry Mall, State Route 322.
National Car Care Month is a nationwide effort to focus motorists’ attention on the importance of vehicle care and maintenance.  During National Car Care Month, many repair facilities and auto parts stores join local businesses, civic groups, radio stations and others to sponsor free vehicle check-ups. The inspections include volunteers checking fluid levels, tires, lights and other system components. After the inspection is completed, volunteers review any discrepancies with the motorist and provide information about proper vehicle maintenance and repair.
The goal of check lanes is to help motorists learn how to "Be Car Care Aware." For more information about this event, please contact Bill Kapp at 814-671-8598 or [email protected] .
The Car Care Council is the source of information for the “Be Car Care Aware” campaign, educating consumers about the benefits of regular vehicle care, maintenance and repair.   For more information about National Car Care Month, visit the Car Care Council Web site at www.carcare.org.
