Greater New Hope Chamber names new board members

Board of Directors elections held March 31 at New Hope Arts Center

The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce has announced the results of its Board of Directors elections, held March 31 at New Hope Arts Center.
The new Executive Board is composed of Glen Stephan, The Stephan House, as president; Mark Stevens, Havana Restaurant and Bar, as vice president; Brian Ulrich, Living Arts Tattoo, as treasurer; and Sharon Flanagan, Fred Eisen Leather Designs, as secretary.
Additional new board members include Anthony Artur, A Beautiful Life; Daniel Kramli, New Hope Fitness; Thomas Rice, The Jonathan Rice Collection; and Lois Tubbs, PNC Bank.
Returning board members include David Child, The UPS Store; David D’Angelo, Chiropractic & Carpal Tunnel Center; Ana Leyland, A Mano Gallery; Caleb Lentchner, Marsha Brown Creole Kitchen; and Michael McManus, Against the Grain.
Nearly 100 people turned out for the annual meeting and elections. Highlights of the evening included an introduction of new police Chief Michael Cummings by Mayor Larry Keller and a special citation from Cindy Beck on behalf of Representative Bernie O’Neill’s office to outgoing Chamber President Louis Licitra and former New Hope Gazette editor Daniel Brooks.
”The Chamber’s main goal is to bring people to New Hope to experience its history, diversity and its wealth of shops and eateries, and I’m pleased to continue to work with our members to accomplish this mission,” said President Stephan. “I’m filling big shoes as our past president Louis Licitra has accomplished so much. Although we are in challenging economic times, we have strength in numbers with members who unselfishly give back to our town, so I’m confident that our hard work will continue to make the Chamber a valuable part of our business community.”
Mr. Licitra, past president, said: “We have come a long way and I only see us improving as we grow and offer our members and the community a Chamber that works very hard to promote and market New Hope in the best possible way. I’m especially happy that we’ve strengthened our partnership with the Borough Council, Bucks County Conference & Visitors Bureau, Landmark Towns and so many other agencies that not only keep New Hope in the spotlight, but also the entire Bucks County area.”
The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce is organized to promote the economic, civil, commercial, cultural, artistic, historical and educational interests of the area. For more information, visit www.NewHopeChamber.com or call 215-862-9990.
