Pride in Springfield Township Day will be held on Saturday, April 18. We are looking for help again cleaning up some of the litter in Springfield Township. The roadway litter problem will not go away and is an eyesore. We want to tackle this litter problem once more this year with volunteer help. Hopefully, you will join us at the Springfield Township Municipal Building between 8:30 – 9 a.m. to be assigned a street to clean up. The plan is to work from 9 to noon. All volunteers are invited to come back to a lunch at Springfield Municipal Building. Our past efforts were successful but additional help is needed again to do more. Children are encouraged to take part in the clean up along with their parents. Once again plastic bags and gloves will be made available for this cleanup. Please call and let us know we can count on you being there to help. We encourage you to clean up litter around your own property and your own neighborhood through out the year. Taking pride in your community is everyone’s job. Rain date, April 25. Contact: Peter or Barbara Sobotka 723-0269; Bob or Nina Mellilo 723-6036.

The Burlington County Library Bookmobile will be at the Springfield Municipal Building Thursday, April 23, from 3:30 to 4 p.m. Come out and take advantage of this wonderful resource. It has many books and videos available and it’s very convenient. Also the staff is very wonderful and knowledgeable. My kids are very addicted to it now. For the entire schedule, please see the library Web site or pick up a schedule on the next bookmobile date.
