The Township Council is moving forward with plans to put a sidewalk on Ridge Road that would begin by Dayton Video at the Five Corners intersection and would end at the intersection of Route 522, Ridge Road and Kingston Lane.
”One of the problems we’ve always had there is no sidewalks so people could walk safely to the Five Corners intersection,” said Mayor Frank Gambatese. “We’ve spent a long time acquiring the land from the people who own the property.”
The project also will install storm sewers along the route. The cost of the improvements will be about $420,000, which the township received in grants from the state Department of Transportation. The project is expected to begin in the spring.
