The Democratic incumbents for Township Council will run unopposed in their party’s nomination in the June 2 primary.
Two Republican candidates will also be unopposed on the ballot for the three seats up for grabs.
Councilmen Perry Shapiro, Hector Duke and Alan Rosenberg are all seeking re-
election for the Democrats.
Mr. Shapiro is retired from the New York City Department of Homeless Services. He is seeking his sixth four-year term. Mr. Rosenberg is a semi-retired comedy writer. He is seeking his third term. Mr. Duke is a retired engineer seeking his fourth term on the council.
The GOP candidates are Aaron Sears and Michael Stewart.
Mr. Sears is an accountant and former member and treasurer of the Twin Rivers board of trustees. He previously mounted an unsuccessful bid for Township Council in 2007.
Mr. Stewart could not be reached for comment.
