WEST WINDSOR: Acme supermarket to close May 7

WEST WINDSOR — After nearly forty years of business in the township, Acme Markets in Princeton Junction will close next month.
The company announced this week that the store would close at 6 p.m. May 7, Acme spokeswoman Gail Street said.
Pointing out that there are two Acme stores nearby, in Hamilton Square and Lawrenceville, she said the decision to close allows the company to operate more efficiently.
”Periodically it’s just a part of retail business to look at all the stores … and make determination as to what’s best for the company,” she said.
All employees in Princeton Junction will have the option of transferring to another store in the company, she said.
