Learn what it was like to eat with Shakespeare during
"Shakespeare’s Kitchen: Peacocks and Pageantry"
Noted cookbook author and food historian Francine Segan will provide an entertaining presentation about the delights of "Shakespeare’s Kitchen," Monday, April 27, at 7 p.m. at the East Brunswick Public Library. Discover the fascinating festivities of Shakespeare’s time in this hilarious presentation on the intriguing table manners and unusual dining customs of the Elizabethan era. Sprinkled throughout the lecture are samples of bawdy jokes, puns and riddles told between courses at the spectacular banquets of the period. This program is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Library and the East Brunswick Arts Commission.
