Brian T. Devine, 44, of New Egypt, was charged April 11 with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene, careless driving, and having an expired registration.
Police said he ran into a fence along Archertown Road and then tried to leave the scene. Mr. Devine’s car was located down the road, where he was taken into custody, police said.
Police responded April 8 to a report of vandalism on Hopkins Drive, and said residents told them they continuously find trash and campsites set up in a water basin on their property. The residents have reportedly also found the street sign to Aimees Way, as well as drug paraphernalia. Police said they will patrol the area more frequently at nighttime.
Tonia Zeinab, 63, of New Egypt, was charged Sunday with shoplifting. Police said they responded to a report of shoplifting at the CVS Pharmacy on Jacobstown Road at about 6:20 p.m., and received a report of a suspect was walking down Lakeview Drive near Brazzil Drive.
Police said they arrived to find the manager of CVS, who said she had followed Ms. Zeinab and that the store had video footage of her putting a container of face cream in her pants. Police said they took Ms. Zeinab into custody and returned to CVS to view the video, confirming the manager’s statements.
