Robbinsville Hamilton Sunrise scholarship program
   For the past ten years, the Rotary Club of Robbinsville Hamilton Sunrise has been offering scholarships to students who live in either Hamilton or Robbinsville and intend to further their education at a two- or four-year college, technical or vocational school. Awards range from $250 to $1,000. These scholarships are supported by monies raised at our two annual fundraisers: Pasta Fest, on April 3, 2009 and our Art Auction on October 23, 2009.
   The criteria are as follows:
   • documentation of active participation in community service; and
   • submission of a 250-word essay describing how you would use your education and experiences to give back to your community.
   For the last three years, our club has offered the additional “Service Above Self” $1,000 scholarship, in memory of Rotarian James A. DeBold, who truly exemplified the meaning of the motto.
   The criteria for this scholarship are:
   • plans to major in communications or journalism, including advertising, multimedia, public relations, publishing and radio/TV;
   • documentation of active participation in community service;
   • submission of a 250-word essay showing evidence of living by the motto “Service Above Self;”
   Students are welcome to apply for both scholarships, but may only win one award. Information and applications are available in school guidance offices or by visiting the Rotary Club of Robbinsville Hamilton Sunrise Web site, www.hwrotary.org/applications. Applications may be submitted online, through guidance counselors or mailed directly to Mr. Dave Aust, 45 Oak Street, Robbinsville, NJ 08691. Deadline for all applications is May 1.
   Thank you in advance.
