Patrick Ojwang, 24, of Ewing, was charged with hindering and driving on a suspended driver’s license after police found, in a random check, that he was driving while his license was suspended on Route 206 at 4:25 p.m. April 9.
Mr. Ojwang was taken into custody after he provided a false name and information, police said.
Police said they also found Mr. Ojwang had a warrant out of Vineland City for $251.
Mr. Ojwang was processed and released after posting bail for the warrant.
Anthony Evertsz, 19, of Robin Road, was charged with shoplifting after he was caught returning stolen candles for store credit and stealing other items from Kohl’s, on Route 206, at 6 p.m. April 13, police said.
According to police, Mr. Evertsz took three candles, valued at a total of $59.99, and placed them in a shopping bag before returning them to customer service for store credit. He then purchased two shirts and a pair of jeans with the store credit.
Mr. Evertsz was taken into custody after he was seen leaving the store with these items. Police said they also found other items of clothing and a wallet that he had not paid for in his bag, all valued at a total of $146.97.
Mr. Evertsz was processed and released on his own recognizance, with a court date of 3 p.m. April 28.
