ADT President Gursahaney named Penn State Outstanding Engineering Alumnus

University Park, Pa. — Naren Gursahaney, president of ADT Worldwide in Princeton, N.J., has been named an Outstanding Engineering Alumnus by the Penn State College of Engineering.
ADT is the world’s largest electronic security company with more than $9 billion in revenues and 65,000 employees serving customers in 50 countries.
Gursahaney will received his award on Monday, April 27, at a ceremony at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel in State College, Pa.
Established in 1966, the award is the highest honor bestowed by the College. The Outstanding Engineering Alumni Award recognizes graduates who have reached exceptional levels of professional achievement. This year, eleven alumni were bestowed the honor.
Gursahaney received his B.S. in mechanical engineering from Penn State in 1983. He also holds a master’s of business administration from the University of Virginia’s Darden School.
Gursahaney began his career in 1983 with Westinghouse Electric’s Defense Electronics Center.
He moved on to Booz Allen & Hamilton in 1989 before joining General Electric (GE) in 1993.
Gursahaney worked in a number of GE divisions, including its corporate, power systems and medical systems groups. By 2001, he was president and CEO of GE Medical Systems-Asia.
In 2003, he joined Tyco International and served in numerous capacities before being promoted to president of ADT Worldwide in June 2007.
