EAST WINDSOR: Police Beat

   Clarence Smith, 48, of Absecon, was charged April 17 with obstructing administration of law.
   Police said an officer saw Mr. Smith drinking a bottle of beer at 12:05 p.m. in the parking lot of the Colonade Hotel. Police said Mr. Smith provided a false name to officers, and was found to have a $707 warrant from Absecon and a $500 warrant from Cape May.
   He also was charged with hindering apprehension and consuming alcohol in public.

   Adam DeStefano, 27, of Plainsboro, was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated.
   Police said an officer saw Mr. DeStefano at 1:35 a.m. speeding and weaving in the northbound lanes of Route 130 near 571.
   He also was charged with reckless driving, careless driving, speeding, failure to keep right and uninsured vehicle.

   Alissa McDowell, 29, of Metuchen, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated.
   Police said an officer saw Ms. McDowell at 2:15 a.m. driving without headlights on and weaving in the northbound lanes of Route 130 near Dutch Neck Road.
   She also was charged with reckless driving, careless driving, no headlights and failure to maintain lane.

   Jorge Vivar, 27, of Trenton, and Carlos Raquel, 24, of Trenton, were charged Sunday with disorderly conduct, urination in public and obstructing administration of law
   Police said an officer saw the two men urinating between two parked cars at 8:15 p.m. Sunday in front of the Shalom Torah Academy on Abbington Road. Police said the two men ran and were later found hiding behind bushes near a Bennington Drive residence.

   A resident of the 200 building of the Brookwood Gardens Apartments reported that the home was burglarized between 8 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. Monday. The resident reported that someone broke the front-door window pane and attempted to pry the lock and gain entry. Nothing was reported stolen.

   The Sunoco gas station on the northbound side of Route 130 was reportedly burglarized between 10 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday. Police said the attendant booth window was smashed and the booth was entered. The owners reported $250 in cash and $240 worth of cigarettes were taken.
