Two people were assaulted Tuesday in the 200 block of Stockton Street by an unknown male.
Police said officers responded at 9:32 p.m. and found two victims who said the attacker had tapped one of them on the shoulder and asked about his identity, before punching him repeatedly in the face, causing a cut above one of his eyes. The second person attempted to break up the fight, and was cut on the bridge of his nose.
The suspect described as a heavyset black male in his mid 20s fled west in a two-door, silver Acura on Stockton Street. Both victims were treated by emergency medical service personnel and taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton for treatment.
Neeraj Katyal, 34, of Sayreville, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated with minors in the vehicle.
Police said an officer saw Mr. Katyal speeding and driving with a tail light out at 1:58 a.m. on Franklin Street. Police said he had his two children ages 1 and 3 in the vehicle with him. Police said a breath test found him to have a blood alcohol level of .10 percent.
He also was charged with DWI, DWI in a school zone, reckless driving, failure to maintain lamps and speeding.
A Meadow Drive resident reported that the home was broken into between 3 p.m. April 17 and 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
The resident reported returning home from an overnight vacation and finding property strewn throughout the house. Entry was forced through a basement window. The resident reported that $10 in coins were missing.
Eric Meyer, 38, of Monroe, was charged Friday with contempt of court.
Police said officers saw Mr. Meyer make a turn without signaling at 11:04 p.m. on Franklin Street. Police said he was found to have a $283 warrant from Mt. Laurel and a $183 warrant from Cape May.
He also was charged with suspended driving and failure to signal a turn.
Erica Blecker, 35, of Philadelphia, was turned over to Hightstown police Monday on a criminal warrant. Police said Ms. Blecker was arrested by Westampton police on a $66 warrant from Hightstown.
Brandon Elief, 35, of North Academy Street, was charged Tuesday with possession of a schedule II narcotic.
Police said a random license plate check performed at 5:11 p.m. found Mr. Elief to have a $164 traffic warrant from East Windsor. He was also found to be in possession of an Endocet pill without a prescription, police said.
Lad Grapski, 36, of North Academy Street, was charged April 15 with contempt of court.Police said officers arrested Mr. Grapski at his home at 1:48 p.m. for failing to appear in court.
Jason Brown, 19, of East Windsor, and Jose Vellon, 21, of Cranbury, were charged April 15 with contempt of court.
Police said a random license plate inquiry performed at 10:57 p.m. on Franklin Street found that Mr. Brown had a $164 outstanding traffic warrant from East Windsor. An identification check of Mr. Vellon, who was riding in the front passenger seat, revealed a $500 criminal warrant from Hamilton Township.
