Route 202 Update April 30

By Somerset County Board of Freeholders
BRANCHBURG – Somerset and Hunterdon counties are inviting the public to an open house for the Route 202 Corridor Study on Thursday, April 30, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Branchburg Township Municipal Building on Route 202 North.
The study, funded by the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA), has been undertaken to help develop a plan for the Route 202 Corridor that will improve safety and travel along this vital roadway.
A short presentation will be made at 6 p.m. and again at 7 p.m., summarizing the progress that has been made and the draft recommended improvements. The study area begins at First Avenue in Raritan Borough, Somerset County, and ends at Church Street/Voorhees Corner Road in Raritan Township, Hunterdon County.
Stations will be set up displaying the recommendations. Participants will be able to review them and ask questions.
“We look forward to getting feedback from the public on the draft recommendations to reduce congestion and improve mobility for the traveling public,” said Freeholder Peter S. Palmer, who serves as the county’s NJTPA liaison.
