   Spring book sale – The Robbinsville Township Library Advisory Committee’s Annual Spring Book Sale will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. In anticipation of the sale the library will be taking donations of gently used books from April 27 through April 30. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Robbinsville Branch, Mercer County Library.

   Movie Night – Mark your calendars for a free, unique movie viewing experience at Riding High Farm on Route 526, Allentown. Double feature offered for the first Movie Night in the Barn of the Year — showing “Beverly Hills Chihuahua” (rated PG) from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and “Twilight” (rated PG13) from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets.    Mimosas for mom – Silver Decoy Winery, in Robbinsville, will be serving a continental breakfast and Traminette mimosas on Mother’s Day weekend, along with vineyard tours all day. There is no charge for the event.

   Seminar on ‘sexting’ – The Robbinsville High School PTSA presents “Sexting: What you need to know!” for parents of sixth- through 12th-graders. Learn about cellphones, texting, chatting, cameras, Internet, measures parents can take to protect their children and what to do if something goes wrong. Presented by Detective Sean Yard of the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office. The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Robbinsville High School Media Center. Questions?    Run on ‘All Roads…’ – The Robbinsville High School Interact Club is holding its annual Beyond Borders 5K Race & 1 Mile Fun Walk. This year the race will run in conjunction with the Mercer County Chamber of Commerce’s “All Roads Lead To Robbinsville” Business Expo. The event will be located at One Union Street. Registration for the 5K run will begin at 8 a.m. The race will start at 9 a.m. Following the 5K, the 1 Mile Fun Walk will begin at 10 a.m. The proceeds of this event will primarily benefit Doctors without Borders.    New Egypt Day – Main Street New Egypt and the Neighborhood Preservation Programs of Plumsted Township are hosting the annual outdoor street festival on Front Street and at Oakford Lake Park. This year’s theme is Fun and Fitness. There will be free fitness classes going on throughout the day. Obstacle courses and fitness games will be available for both children and adults. Vendors, businesses, fitness professionals and local organizations are being sought to participate. Deadline for vendor registration is May 1.    Art sale – The Plumsted Township Council for the Arts will be holding a Y-ART sale from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the annual New Egypt Day festival. Everything art-related will be for sale, including prints, photographs, music, art books, arts and crafts supplies.    Kids fishing and more – Drop a line and join the fun during the Children’s Fishing Derby held as part of the Monmouth County Park System’s Outdoor Adventure. The derby is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. The rest of the expo starts at 11 a.m. and continues to 5 p.m. This annual event takes place at Turkey Swamp Park, Freehold. Besides the derby, the day will feature free lectures, demonstrations, mini-clinics and nature hikes. Visitors are invited to try kayaks, canoes, paddleboats and the park system’s 25-foot climbing wall. The expo also features members of local outdoor adventure clubs who will answer questions and give advice, as well as representatives from companies that sell outdoor recreation equipment.    Evening runs — The Upper Freehold Regional Education Foundation invites the public to get off their couches, get away from the TV for a little while and join their neighbors, students, and other community members for the first Community Twilight Challenge. This 5K run/walk and 1-mile kids’ fun run begins and ends at Allentown High School. The kids’ fun run will begin at 5 p.m. The second event, the 5K run/walk, will begin at 6 p.m. Check-in for participants begins at 4 p.m. Before May 15, registration for the Kids Fun Run is $10 and the 5K run/walk is $20.    MOMS Club — The MOMS Club of Upper Freehold/Allentown holds its monthly meetings the first Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Allentown Presbyterian Church, 20 High St.). The club offers low- or no-cost monthly calendar events for all age groups that include day trips, play groups, clubs, community service projects and MOMS Night Out.
   The public is welcome to come meet the club members and learn about the international, nonprofit organization that offers local, stay-at-home and part-time working moms support and the opportunity to share activities and experiences with other local moms and their children.    Tax help in Robbinsville: Every Wednesday, through April 15, volunteers from AARP will be available at the Robbinsville Branch, Mercer County Library to help anyone fill out basic income tax forms. Appointments are every hour on the half-hour starting at 9:30 a.m., with the last appointment at 12:30 p.m. The only requirement is that you bring last year’s completed form and this year’s income tax booklet. Registration is a must. You may call or stop at the library to arrange for an appointment. The library’s phone number is 609-259-2150.
   ESL group in Allentown: English As A Second Language classes for adults meet every Thursday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Upper Freehold Regional Middle School, 27 High St., room 203. A multi-media approach is used to teach English with a concentration on the English necessary for parents with children in school. No class if school is closed for the day.
   Millstone Women’s Club: The Millstone Township Women’s Organization meets every fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. September through May at the Clarksburg Community Center, Stage Coach Road. All Millstone Township women are welcome and encouraged to join.
