Garden tour ticket discount ends Friday

New Hope Historical Society 16th annual Garden Tour is June 6

   Tickets for the New Hope Historical Society 16th annual Garden Tour are on sale at a discount of $5 per ticket until May 1.
   The self-guided tour, “Pollinating Rhythm,” is being held on June 6 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. rain or shine.
   The events attracts many gardeners, horticulturists, and those who simply enjoy ogling other people’s labors of love with the earth, from near and far. It is the major fundraiser for the Parry Mansion Museum in New Hope.
   This year six private Bucks County gardens will be on the tour. As an extra reward for ticket holders, there will be a 45-minute mini-lecture, “Rhythm of an Organic Vegetable Garden,” at 4 and 5 p.m. while strolling through a Solebury veggie garden and orchard.
   General admission is $28. However, tickets purchased prior to May 1t are available at a $5 discount per ticket. A color brochure with map, directions, description of gardens and photos is included with purchase.
   A limited edition “Gardener’s Bracelet,” designed by Pearl Mintzer of New Hope, depicting charming ladybugs, flowers, dragonflies, trowels, bees, and butterflies are being offered for $10 to ticket holders. The bracelets are packaged in a sheer organza sachet tied with ribbon and will be available at the garden gates on tour day.
   Tickets are available at the following locations: Angel’s Cards & Gifts and Farley’s Bookshop in New Hope; Bountiful Acres, Holicong; Doylestown Bookshop, Doylestown; Rhodes Newtown Flower & Gift Shop, Newtown; The Lambertville House, and Dresswell’s in Lambertville; Phillips Fine Wines, Stockton; and Alchemy, Frenchtown.
   Tickets may also be ordered by calling the New Hope Historical Society at 215-862-5652. Tickets may be purchased on the day of the tour at the Parry Mansion Museum, Main and Ferry Streets, New Hope.
