Apex, NC—The 13th annual New Jersey Marathon is much more than just a marathon. The event is a full weekend of activities for runners of all levels, athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and families and includes an Expo of diverse exhibitors, and seminars that cover a range of topics. Included in the Expo is the local running store, Shore Runner, and their team of fitness experts. In addition to their selection of shoes and essential items for runners, walkers, and fitness enthusiasts, Shore Runner will be exhibiting Gracie’s Gear and Training for the first time, products and programs designed to encourage individuals of all ages and sizes to become and stay active. Gracie’s Gear products are designed by women runners for women runners and include innovative sports bras, tanks, and running shorts that not just support women in the places they need it most but also provide a level of functionality that no other sports bra achieves. Whether a woman is a power walker, an active mother, a marathoner, or a woman simply out to achieve a goal, the philosophy behind Gracie’s Gear and Shore Runner is to empower athletes with the gear and training that supports a healthy and active lifestyle.
The Gracie’s Gear on display with Shore Runner is new for 2009 and includes new color schemes and A-line styling of the innovative running gear. The comfortable and functional design of Gracie’s Gear includes her trademark Power Pouch, which is enough to inspire women to get moving, but it is the added bonus of receiving with a purchase a training program from Gracie that helps women achieve their goals. All gear is made from anti-microbial and moisture release fabrics that reduce odor and sweat in addition to naturally synthetic fibers offering a comfortable fit for all body types.
A group of nine pacers at this month’s ZOOMA Austin Half-Marathon were outfitted with turquoise tanks and the response to the tank was overwhelmingly positive and indicates it’s ideal gear for distance running. Personal trainer and fitness specialist Karen Shopoff Rooff said she broke one of her cardinal rules by wearing a new tank on race day but said she was “pleasantly surprised that the fit was perfect and I had absolutely zero rubbing or chafing. This never happens, even after a trip or two through the wash. It’s one thing to design functional gear and another to design flattering gear, but the Gracie’s Gear tank is both—and super comfortable, too.”
This will be Shore Runner’s 3rd time exhibiting at the New Jersey Marathon Expo and they look forward to having Gracie’s Gear as part of their display. Visit them during the Expo at Pier Village, May 1-2; the Expo is free and open to the public.
