HIGHTSTOWN — The newest member of the East Windsor Regional School District Board of Education was sworn in at the body’s reorganization meeting this week.
Paul Connolly, 37, was elected after running uncontested for a seat formerly held by Jim Hauck. Mr. Connolly, an East Windsor resident for 17-years, has four children in the school system. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and is a principal associate at Hardesy & Hanover Engineering in New York City.
“I hope to assist the other board members in making continued improvements to the school system,” Mr. Connolly said Tuesday, one day after being sworn in. “I imagine that I will learn a lot.”
Board members Bruce Ettman and Kennedy Paul, who were re-elected April 21, also were sworn in. Mr. Ettman is serving his fifth term and Mr. Paul his second full term.
The board also choose to re-elect Alice Weisman as its president. She has been on the board since 2002.
