Several charged with underage possession/consumption of alcohol on private property

When Hopewell Township police Detective Michael Simonelli went to a Carter Road residence to check out a complaint about a loud party at 3:38 a.m. April 26, he found several young adults and juveniles on the property.
Three beer kegs and a bottle of wine were found in a wooded area of the property, where camping tents were set up. The parents of the juveniles were contacted, and they came to the scene to take custody of them.
Matthew Martin, 18, of Carter Road, Hopewell Township, will be charged with providing alcoholic beverages to minors (under state statute), His case will be heard in Municipal Court, said township Lt. Lance Maloney.
Evan Lang, Zurain Niaz and Colleen Williams will be charged under a township ordinance with underage possession/consumption of alcohol on private property. Mr. Lang, 18, resides on Todd Ridge Road, Titusville. Mr. Zurain, 18, resides on Brookside Drive, Titusville. Ms. Williams resides on State Park Drive, Titusville.
Also charged with underage/consumption of alcohol on private property were William H. Colehower, 18, of Fox Run Road, Hopewell Township; Christopher Prewitt, 18, of Kings Path, Hopewell Township; and Daniel Hagen, 20, of Navesink Drive, Hopewell Township.
Their cases also will be heard in Municipal Court.
In addition, four boys and four girls, whose names were not released by police because they are under 18, will be charged under the township ordinance with underage possession/consumption of alcohol on private property. Their cases will be heard in Family Court.
The investigation is ongoing, police said Wednesday.
